Reports & Analytics Part 2: Dynamic Report Builder

Introduction

The Dynamic Report Builder (DRB) empowers you to create fully customized reports tailored to the specific needs of your business, offering a flexible alternative to the rigid limitations of traditional reporting tools.

With intuitive drag-and-drop functionality, you can filter data by property, booking dates, creation date, channel, currency, and more.

The DRB supports detailed data sources such as taxes, service breakdowns, discounts, and guest forms, and it allows you to build reports across key areas such as:

• Bookings (quotes or confirmed).

• Staff (housekeeping, maintenance, check-in planning.

• Accounting (monthly, quarterly, or yearly summaries).

This all-in-one tool helps property managers generate relevant, insightful reports with ease.

How to Create Reports

To create a report, navigate to Solutions > Report Builder > Create , then follow these steps:

1. Select report type: Choose the type of report you want to create ( Booking, Staff, Accounting related). This selection will define what data fields are available for your report.

2. Select a default: Based on your selection, you can build a custom report from scratch or modify a preset template:

   1. Booking related: Quotes Report, Booking Report.

   2. Staff related report type: Housekeeping Report, Check-in Planner, Maintenance Report. 

3. Name your report: Input report’s name.

4. Save Report: Use the “Save Report” button at the top or bottom of the page to save your configuration or draft.

5. Available Search Filters: This section includes drag-and-drop dropdown filters to refine report data, for example, by property, tags, channel, flags/signatures, currency, or keywords. Use these filters to quickly tailor the report to your needs.

6. Columns data: This area, titled "Select your data columns and drag to order them above", lists numerous data points that can be included in the report and ordered by simply dragging and dropping the columns.
   

View Your Reports

In Your Reports tab you can easily manage your dynamic reports. From this interface, you can:

• Edit or Delete any existing dynamic reports. If you select “Edit report”, you will be redirected to the Create Reports tab where you can change your report data.

• Send reports directly via email to your stakeholders.

• Download reports to your local device for offline reference or sharing.

This functionality provides enhanced flexibility and control, allowing you to review and update your reports as needed, ensuring your data is always accurate and ready to share.
