Getting Started with Integrations

Introduction

This guide shows how to unlock the full potential of the integrations available in GuestWisely. Integrations are the bridges that connect your GuestWisely account to the wider ecosystem of online travel agencies, secure payment processors, and specialized property management tools. By using them effectively, you can synchronize data across multiple platforms, further automate manual processes, and deliver a consistent, professional presence wherever guests find you online.

GuestWisely offers three main integration categories tailored to different aspects of your vacation rental business:

  • Channels: Synchronize listings, rates, and availability across multiple booking platforms.

  • Payment Gateways: Accept secure payments from guests worldwide through trusted providers.

  • Third-Party Integrations: Enhance functionality with tools for pricing, guest verification, websites, operations, and more.

In addition to standard booking and payment integrations, GuestWisely allows you to grant API access to other services with specific permissions. Through the Custom Integrations feature, you can generate separate API credentials for developers, agencies, or partners -  ensuring secure, permission-based access to property or booking data without exposing your main account details.

For those operating a standalone website, the Website API Access feature provides dedicated credentials to connect your site directly with your GuestWisely account. This enables your website to retrieve and update property information securely, keeping listings, availability, and pricing always in sync.

Each plays a distinct role, and together they form a complete operational toolkit for your vacation rental business.

Channels

Channels are the online platforms where your properties are listed and booked. For many property managers, these channels - often called OTAs (Online Travel Agencies) - are the lifeblood of their marketing. They are where guests discover your listings, compare them with others, and ultimately make their reservations.

With GuestWisely, your connection to these channels is not just a manual upload of photos and text - it’s a live, automated link. When you change a nightly rate, block off a date, or update a property description in your GuestWisely account, those updates can be instantly reflected across all your connected channels. This ensures your guests always see accurate information and prevents the headaches of double-bookings or mismatched details.

With GuestWisely, you have two main options for managing these connections:

  • The full Channel Manager integrates with over 60 OTAs, including major names like Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, Expedia, and Google Vacation Rentals. This option is designed for property managers who need broad exposure and the ability to automate every step of their distribution.

  • Channel Manager Lite offers a more cost-conscious alternative, connecting directly to Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, and most Vrbo brands using calendar sync technology. It’s perfect property managers who want to focus on the key platforms while keeping the door open to upgrade later.

Whichever path you choose, the goal is the same: make sure your properties are always up to date, always bookable, and always visible where guests are looking.

Payment Gateways

Once a guest has found your property and decided to book, the next critical step is payment. This is where Payment Gateways come in. A payment gateway is a secure, online service that processes your guests’ payments and transfers the funds to you.

GuestWisely integrates directly with over 30 payment providers around the world, making it easy for GuestWisely users around the world to accept payments from guests without them ever leaving your booking process.

This integration doesn’t just make life easier - it builds trust with guests. Seeing a familiar, reputable payment option like Stripe or WorldPay reassures them that their transaction is secure. These integrations also handle the behind-the-scenes complexity for you. They process multiple currencies, comply with international payment standards, and even allow you to collect deposits or staged payments according to your policies.

For regional operators, specialized options like PayFort in the UAE or PayGate in South Africa make it possible to handle local payment methods just as smoothly as international ones.

Connecting a payment gateway to your GuestWisely account creates a seamless, professional booking journey from start to finish - one where a guest can find a property, check availability, confirm the booking, and pay securely in minutes.

Third-Party Integrations

While Channels bring you bookings and Payment Gateways help you collect revenue, Third-Party Integrations expand what you can do with your GuestWisely platform. These are specialized tools and services designed to handle everything from pricing strategy to guest check-in, from operational automation to additional revenue streams.

Imagine being able to automatically adjust your nightly rates based on local demand, seasonality, and competitor pricing - GuestWisely makes that possible through its integrations with PriceLabs and Beyond. Or picture managing all your cleaning schedules, maintenance tasks, and even keyless entry systems in one place - Operto Teams and others in our ecosystem handle that with precision and automation.

For markets with strict guest registration laws, tools like Chekin and Check-in Scan can automatically gather guest IDs and send the required information to local authorities.

There are even integrations that open up entirely new revenue opportunities. For example, partnering with CSA or Generali insurance providers allows you to offer guests travel or damage protection - and earn commission in the process. Similarly, Global Shuttle lets you integrate with multiple payment services to streamline international transactions.

Each integration adds another layer of control, convenience, or income to your business, helping you tailor your operations to match your unique needs and goals.

Custom Integrations

In addition to standard integrations, GuestWisely allows the primary account holder to grant API access to other users with customizable permissions. This is especially helpful for developers, agencies, or partners who need to access property and booking data through the GuestWisely API. From the Custom Integrations section, you can generate separate API credentials for different users or systems, assign permissions for things such as property data only or booking data only, and manage them all in one secure place

Website API Access

For those managing a standalone website, GuestWisely provides dedicated API credentials to securely connect and sync your property data. These credentials - comprising your API Owner Token, Key, Password, and Username - allow your website to retrieve and update information directly from your GuestWisely account. As a security best practice, these credentials should never be shared publicly or stored in unsecured locations.

The integrations within GuestWisely are more than just technical connections - they are tools to amplify your reach, increase your efficiency, and improve your guest experience. By skillfully exploiting these three main categories - Channels, Payment Gateways, and Third-Party Integrations - along with leveraging User API and Website API access, you can transform your GuestWisely platform into a fully integrated business hub, capable of handling everything from marketing to money to guest satisfaction, all in one place.
