Introduction
Integrating your GuestWisely account with Chekin allows you to streamline guest data management and compliance processes. With this connection, guest information, reservations, and property data flow automatically between the two systems, eliminating manual entry and improving operational efficiency.
Once integrated, Chekin imports your active properties and bookings, syncs new reservations moving forward, and enables powerful features like online check-in, automated police reporting, and guest registration forms - all directly connected to your GuestWisely account.
What Information is synced with the integration?
Properties & Rooms: All properties in your GuestWisely account are imported into your Chekin dashboard.
Reservations: Bookings with a check-in date on or after the day of account creation will be synced. Past reservations will not be imported.
Guest Details: Guest name, email, and phone number are imported automatically.
Online Check-In Link: Chekin sends an online check-in link back to your GuestWisely account for quick access and easy sharing with guests.
Note: Integration must be set up during account creation. If you already have a Chekin account without the integration, please contact support via chat or email: support@chekin.com.
How to integrate CSA Insurance with GuestWisely
1. Enable Checkin
Locate the Police Report for EU Users bolt-on and click on Add+.
Scroll down and update your subscription to reflect the change.
2. Create a Chekin account with PMS integration
Go to the Chekin registration page and complete the form.
When prompted, select “Yes” for “Do you want to connect your PMS?”
Search for and select GuestWisely as your PMS and click Continue to proceed.
3. Retrieve API Credentials from GuestWisely
Go to Marketplace > Checkin.
From this page, copy the following credentials: GuestWisely Owner Token, API Key, and API Password.
4. Connect GuestWisely to Chekin
Return to Chekin’s web panel and go to My Account > Integrate PMS in the top-right menu.
Select the GuestWisely logo and paste the API Key, Password, and Owner Token into the corresponding fields.
Click Next to proceed.
You’ll then be prompted to select which properties to import. If they already exist in Chekin, you can match them accordingly. Click End to complete the integration.
5. Finalize Property setup in Chekin
Go to Properties > My Properties in the Chekin dashboard.
Activate your newly imported properties.
Complete any missing property information - especially fields required for legal compliance, such as country of registration and address.
Properties marked as “Incomplete” will need additional details to enable guest registration forms and police reporting features.
6. Activate Online Check-in automation
You can enable Chekin to automatically send check-in emails to your guests.
Note: Online check-in settings are account-wide and apply to all properties.
Open a property’s settings in Chekin.
Select Online Check-in from the left menu.
Toggle automation ON and configure the sending schedule to your preference.
Save your changes.
7. Enable Police Connection (Where Applicable)
Police and statistics automation is available in select countries. For a full list of supported countries visit "Legal compliance per country". To connect your Chekin account with local authorities:
Open a property in Chekin and go to the Legal tab.
In Police Connection, toggle the feature ON.
Select the relevant authority and enter your credentials.
Click Validate. If valid, a new Property field will appear.
Select the corresponding property from the dropdown and save.
8. Accessing Online Check-in Links in GuestWisely
Chekin sends back a check-in link for every upcoming reservation. These links can be used to:
Share directly with guests
Complete the form manually, if needed
You can find these links in two places:
1. Booking Reports
Go to Solutions> Business Reports > Bookings.
In the table, find the “Arrival Form” column.
Click the form icon to open the check-in form in a new tab.
2. Reminders Dashboard
Go to Reservation Manager > Reminders dashboard.
Under the Checking In/Out sections, find the “Arrival Form” column.
Click Incomplete to access the guest’s check-in form.

Can I integrate GuestWisely with an existing Chekin account?
No. The integration must be set up during Chekin account creation. If you already have an account, please contact support.
Will new bookings sync automatically?
Yes! Any new bookings made in GuestWisely will sync to your Chekin account automatically.
Is guest data automatically sent to the authorities?
Yes, if you’ve configured police credentials correctly. Data is sent on the check-in date at 11:00 PM.
Can I send guest data before 11:00 PM?
Yes, you can send it manually from the booking details page, provided the conditions required by the police authority are met (e.g., after the check-in date).
Can I access registration documents after check-in?
Yes. Chekin stores all registration forms in the cloud, so you can access them anytime.
